Architecture Design & Interior Design
Over the years, I have found that all of my principals are able to express a clear vision of how they want to live. I listen to them and give them several options of their own ideas by presenting their ideas to them under a different light. For example, within a short visit with a principal, they will give you all the information needed to create a scaled drawing and put together a selection of materials that reflects their expressions. Ultimately, that is what they want. They want to live surrounded in what they are comfortable with and familiar with. In fact, it is easy to give a principal exactly what they want by simply listening to them. They will divulge their favorite styles, colors, likes and dislikes within the first meeting. The key to a successful presentation to a principal is to have carefully listened. Add a little indirect lighting to all that and the rest is easy.
